I’m not sure if this is a good question, but my game’s visits have fallen off a cliff lately. I’ve done all of the usual engagement things, hyping up big updates with lots of new content, announcing on twitter and many other places. What else can I do to help improve my recent visit counts? I used to get over 80 visits a day but now only have about 5.
Do you have enough entertainment value in your game to keep players there?
New stuff is ok, but if it doesn’t keep your players around it isn’t much good.
Do players have goals to reach or is it the same gameplay over and over with no rewards?
It is important to ensure that your game has progression or tasks to complete that require a player to remain in game for an extended period of time. In order to retain a player count you need to retain their attention by giving them stuff to do and ensuring that gameplay doesn’t become repetive and boring.
I suppose I could do that. I introduced datastores last update, so maybe I should start working on more in game rewards.
You need multiple tasks or daily ones as well as weekly tasks for them to do, they could reward coins or a pet or anything.
