I really think it’s quite boring to kill the zombies right now. What do you think I need to really make fight encounters pop? It’s a zombie game as you can see.
Maybe try changing the movement of the zombies so it’s not just a direct path where they end up in a row.
Perhaps add different types of zombies that have different abilities so they don’t all seem the same.
It’s not bad but I feel like there’s a lot that can make this even better. For example, variety of different zombies, maybe like bigger/smaller, or other types instead of only zombies in hazard suits. Another thing you old add would be item dropped from zombies, for example a key to another room a gun, a flashlight, speed potion, etc. another thing I feel like you need to add is hit sound effects and change the way the zombies die. For the sound effects for an example in call of duty when you hit a player it makes a thud kind of sound or when you get a head shot it makes a Ching/ more cash kinda sound, k feel like the sound when getting a kill or shooting your gun changes the game entirely, especially in line guis and stuff like the little clicks that are made when you hover over or click on a botton effect the overall feel to it. Anyways lookin good so far, keep up the good work.
Maybe some explosions, like if you hit a wall or something, metal flies off.
Maybe try making them flop over in the direction they’re supposed to due to the impact?
I’d imagine a shotgun blast would make someone fall backwards instead of forwards.
The most immediate thing I’d suggest is integrating PathfindingService into the zombies’ movement. If done well, this would prevent them from hugging the walls when you turn corners or getting stuck, which would provide for a more enjoyable zombie-slashing experience if you ask me!
Also, the enjoyability of these types of games can often boil down to the environment. Many of the hallways and corners in the video seem indistinguishable from one another. Why not have variations in some hallways where lights are turned off? Flooded corridors? Hanging artwork/posters? Checkpoint rooms/missions? You might also want to consider that the corridors may be a little too constricted, especially if this is a multiplayer experience with this many enemies.
I do however love the design you put together for the zombies! As others have suggested, some variation in zombie types (size, abilities, speed, animations, appearance, etc.) can really help make the game pop as well!
functions for double, triple, quadruple kill, etc.
