Please Help Me Improve My Free Roblox Beginner Course

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working incredibly hard on creating a free course for beginner Roblox developers, and I’d love to get your honest thoughts and feedback.

I’ve published the first three lessons, and you can check out the starting point here:

This project has taken a huge amount of time and effort because I want it to be clear, practical, and genuinely helpful for beginners who often feel overwhelmed getting started with Roblox Studio.

As part of the course, I’ve also built a mini quest game with 5 levels and unique mechanics to help people learn while playing. The systems are built using the Nevermore Engine, which I personally love for keeping code organized and maintainable.

Right now, I’m working on video guides for these lessons to make it even easier for people to follow along visually.

I’d really appreciate your feedback:

  • Are the first three lessons clear and easy to follow?
  • Would video guides be helpful for you?
  • What topics do you think beginners struggle with most?
  • Does the mini quest game feel engaging or fun?

If you’d like to keep up with my progress, I also share updates on my YouTube channel:

Please share what else you think I could add, or if you’d like to join me in building this project together, let me know as well!

Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out. I’m passionate about building exciting games and sharing knowledge, and I’d love to hear your thoughts to help improve this for everyone!

I forgot to add a link to the game:

Some general feedback:

  1. Don’t use ChatGPT to write the whole paragraphs. I’d suggest writing something yourself first, then using AI just to clean up grammar if needed. Otherwise, it ends up sounding robotic and soulless.

  2. Drop the AI images and all the AI-related stuff. Try making things on your own or get a designer involved. Using AI images can actually turn people off from taking your courses because it makes it seem lazily thrown together, especially if the course is about coding. Same goes for titles and other parts. Like people always say, AI is a tool, not a full-on replacement for your whole brand.

Not much else to say. Just please cut back on the AI stuff. It’s all over your videos and website, and it really shows. I do think the videos are okay overall, but they could benefit from better editing.
