PLEASE HELP: Mesh Degredation in large bespoke Roblox map

We have been running into a problem where our meshes in Studio and Live Experiences will sometimes load in with massive visual errors and would like to ensure these visual bugs do not appear in the live experience. Restarting Roblox Player or Studio often fixes the issues, but many times they will reappear during a session.

Examples of the mesh degradation taken from studio below:

This seemingly can happen to every mesh in our game, including smaller meshes and meshes with very few polygons. It also happens to objects that are textured using PNGs as well as objects that are textured using vertex painting. It does not seem to happen to basic Roblox parts.

This has not happened in other Roblox experiences we have worked on despite using the same art pipeline.

In order to try and fix the bug, we have tried setting Mesh Streaming and Improved LODs to enabled. While this did fix the corruption issue, it introduced a new, more consistent issue where meshes between a certain distance would become extremely messy. A work around for Mesh Streaming and Improved LODs having issues with rendering mid-ranged objects would also count as a fix for this bug.

Looking through the creator hub, I have yet to see anyone post this exact issue. I’ve seen people post issues that had the recommendation of turning Mesh Streaming and Improved LoDs off, and I have seen people post visual glitches as a result of importing. I did find one reddit thread where someone posted a similar issue [ https://www.reddit.com/r/ROBLOXStudio/comments/1tyccy6/why_do_my_meshes_break_randomly/ ] but an answer wasn’t given

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Creator Hub?

After that, you should include more details if you have any. Try to make your topic as descriptive as possible, so that it’s easier for people to help you!
