I was just checking through my inventory and noticed an “Other VIP Servers” button. I clicked on it and found this:
I had no clue I had been invited to those VIP servers – the majority of them have been closed, so that means the request came a month ago or longer. Would be nice if we were notified by PM of invites to VIP servers.
It should be down to the person who invited you to the server to inform you. I know many users already struggle to keep on-top of their inbox, this would make it much worse. This goes without mentioning that you can add all your friends to VIP servers, and you might choose to do that because it’s easier than clicking 20 names, the other 80 friends you might have don’t need to be notified, and that’s 80 pointless messages sent out.
When ROBLOX adds a proper notification system, I welcome this to be a part of that. But until then, keep it as it is. No messages please.
i’d like to be notified by pm and notification. i usually ignore any pop-ups, party invites or chats, but i read all messages daily, so it would more likely get my attention in a pm.
I would say that it needs to be a PM, but that we need a filter to filter the categories out that we don’t wish to see.
I can see famous users like Loleris getting hundreds of PMs just from random users inviting him.
PMs notifying you if you’re invited to a VIP server should be opt-in.

i agree with both of these. i don’t really want to get pm’s about invites, i just meant that a pm would be the best way to get my attention. i would opt out of notifications if this was added.

You can set permissions for VIP server invitations.
