I haven’t really found a recent poll asking this, so I might as well make one myself. For where I live, there’s almost never a nearby server so I usually end up with 80-100 ms. But I’m curious about what other people who live closer to areas with lots of servers have.
If you don’t know how you can check your ping, you do it by joining a game that displays server region, find one relatively close to you, and then hit CTRL + F7 to open the performance stats (alternatively this can be done by opening the setting menu). Finally, you can look at the top right to see your current ping.
Yeah, my ping SPECIFICALLY on Roblox is terrible, somehow especially so when I’m in a competitive fighting game. It’s almost unplayable.
I did find this a while ago, which was pretty interesting and gives me doubts about the ping being displayed to me considering this is the ONLY game it happens in.
My ping varies from 30-40 then spikes up to 700-1000 in that game. It’s Typical Colors 2, which is a remake of TF2. Doesn’t happen in the real TF2, so it’s either that game or Roblox as a whole.
My range isn’t listed, so I’ll say it here: 50-150 ms, and that’s in American servers. Any European server I join results in my ping increasing to 200 ms, and no higher than 210.
Well, America is a big place. There’s a big difference between Californa-Nevada and Alaska-Florida. The question is that what is your ping when you’re in a server (relatively) close to you ?
Yeah for me its 95 - 120 on roblox for a server in Miami and 65 - 70 on COD or Valorant Both servers located in Miami but majority of games have their servers in northern US States, so I typically have 93 - 130 connecting from the Caribbean.
i get an average of 200 alongside spikes (where I’m completely disconnected for 2-5 seconds), and have never gotten below 70 ping. I wonder how the difference would look side by side.
