Pow | ProgrammerI’m a 17 year old developer and I’ve been coding Roblox games for about 5 years now. I was thinking about it recently and I realized that whilst anyone can write a script that works, I strive to build systems that feel good to play.
I spend a lot of my time working on things like lag compensation, state machines, and making data handlers, as I want to make sure the game can hold up when thousands of people are playing at once. I enjoy writing code that is scalable and readable. I think a lot of people try to get things done fast, however I want to make sure your systems are optimized. How I work
- Talking it out: We can chat on Discord. I want to hear what you want out of the project and I’ll ask whatever technical questions I need to.
- Planning: I try to map everything out beforehand. That way you know what I’m doing and you aren’t left in the dark about how it’ll work.
- Basic Building: I’ll get to coding and keep you updated. I’ve had people ghost me or not communicate before, so I make sure not to do that to anyone else.
- Finishing up: When it’s done I’ll send you the fully tested code.
