I was brainstorming on that. Perhaps like a little contest for “thank you’s”? It would be fun, and may up the post quality.
I was thinking this may cause some corruption though (underground thank you black market or something.)
Thoughts?
Tried that with my ‘layers’ thing and everyone went fucking ape shit crazy over it
Oh yeah! That was unfortunate. I was thinking this one could be ran by admins or mods.
And another thought; like “most thanked” of the month posts. A little shout-out to the top thanked users and maybe a small prize at the end of each month.
This could be interesting
I think this post should’ve been made in the inception forum though ![]()
Please make the prize a Roblox hat :DDD
Thanks. Oops! If a mod sees this, could it be moved?
Can I just give up now
I’ll give you a thank you to get ya started ![]()
Okay, but exclude Arceus or else it’s no contest.
Haha. I was thinking everyone starts out with 0 thank yous at the beginning of each month, and whoever earns the most that month wins. So other thank yous won’t factor in.
> uristmcsparks wins every month with the change log
Reminds me of that meme he found!
And yeah, we should keep it users only of course ![]()
Thanks for moving this thread by the way!
The only way I could really see this working would be if everyones ‘Thank Yous’ got reset every month OR if we have a separate leaderboard for most thanked each month.
I do, however, believe it will allow for much more detailed and much more high quality posts being made on the forum.

A separate leaderboard would be nice! It would also make people choose their thank you’s wisely.
Very true, indeed. Yet, we must remember - the ROBLOX Staff are also working on getting the new website theme completed, and so may not have time to implement features onto this subdomain - or atleast not at this point in time.

Oh yes. Hopefully when they are not too busy they can get around to posting some feedback!
While it would be nice to think this would improve posts and the over all quality of the forum, it would likely lead down a different path. If we attach a prize to something like that, it just encourages people to make posts just so others can ‘Thank’ them. In the end, groups form to game the system so they can always win the contest and get the prize. This results in the whole ‘Thank You’ system becoming irrelevant and we end up with lots of posts that have no purpose other than to farm ‘Thanks’. At best, we could moderate to help prevent this, but it would require extra work for something that does not add to the forum at all.
Yep, agreed. I mentioned the corruption of the thank you system in my OP, just wish there was a work-around since this would be fun.
From what IΓÇÖve seen so far, it really doesnΓÇÖt seem like there is a significant correlation between a postΓÇÖs quality or usefulness and the number of times its author has been thanked for it.
There’s a trend. Good posts get thanked usually, and thank yous each month would be a measure of helpfulness throughout the month. Cheering someone up, telling a joke, and solving a problem are all helpful, and are all usually thanked.
The problem I see is that this gets back to the Dev labeling in a few other threads we’ve had. Is it good to reward developers with on site items that gives them an unfair advantage? i.e. A badge, a note under the username, or even an exclusive hat.
I also made a retexture that, now that i look at it, would make a good Dev prize.
Oh jee, if that were a prize we’d have RIOTS over thank yous. Everyone would try so hard, it’d start to get cringey.
