Hello everyone!
I’ve had a few days to program a script to procedurally generate the classic Level 0 from The Backrooms. Just wanted to showcase this to the developers here.

Pillar Biome, Well Lit.
A transitioning space between two biomes, “PIllar2” and Maze.
“KItty” Entity, follows you around but is generally passive.
Repetitive Doorframe biome.
Features:
- Multiple Biomes & Regions
This video showcases just a few, the familiar maze-like layout, ordered pillars (Can have random sizes, thickness & spacing), and the claustrophobic door frame one, but there are many more. - Regional Lighting
The video does not show this well, but some regions have different lighting brightness, some regions live in total darkness, some dim lighting, some sparse bright lighting, and most commonly “Well Lit” zones. - Very easy to modify and add biomes (Rarity, size, spacing, etc…).
Improvements:
- Could use some decor such as outlets and missing tiles
- Making it multi-storied, having ramps, stairs, and ladders that go to different floors.
- Planning to make it more versatile, the ability to generate cityscapes and poolrooms without needing to add a ton of different assets.
- Colors and wallpaper variation. Having one theme is too boring, so I’m going to make different parts of the map have different wallpapers and slightly different yellows.
