Hi guys, I’m struggling with deciding on concepts for a game.
I’m a solo Dev with two distinctive projects on the go, because of this it takes time from the other one so I’m asking the community which one best appeals?
SciFi:
In this game the Player traverses a galaxy using their starship; the starship is able to be customised in terms of engine power, weapons and Hyperdrive.
The game will be story driven with the ability to visit Planets, Starbases etc.
The game will also feature factions & jobs (Such a bounty hunting, cantina work etc) that’ll allow the player to credit money aside from completing main quest line & selling items.
Fantasy:
This game is an isometric styled RPG set in a fictional world.
The game will be story driven with the capability of side quests & events.
Players travel across a land, honing their skills and unlocking more of the lore.
This game will feature jobs to generate money for the Player, i.e. tavern work, music playing and more.
I intend for both games to be story driven and lore based; I wish to create a rich ‘Universe’ for whichever game takes priority.
So after reading brief descriptions of both games, which sounds more appealing?
If at all possible please feel free to add suggestions and explanations to this thread.
Thank you. ![]()
