Here’s something you might not have known that could be useful.
Sometimes you want to describe a bug or exploit (or something else) that should only be visible to ROBLOX developers. Since there’s no way to send direct messages to them, this confidential information is often visible for everyone reading the forums.
Some of you are using (hide)(/hide) (replace parentheses with square brackets) to ‘hide’ part of their posts. These tags only prevent non-members from viewing what’s written inbetween them. Since the forum can only be viewed by members, these tags are useless.
Instead, when you have any confidential information that you need to include, use the (confidential)(/confidential) (replace parentheses with square brackets) tags. Content inbetween these tags are ONLY visible to forum administrators. If you’re using a YouTube video to describe an exploit, make sure to ‘hide’ the video on YouTube as well.
If you are creating a topic including only confidential information, it would be nice to include something like this:
<Short description?>
That way, everyone knows what’s going on and we avoid ‘You should at least tell us what is it about!’ discussions.
TL;DR (hide)(/hide) doesn’t hide, use (confidential)(/confidential) to hide things from non-administrators.
Thank you Khanovich for this information
:imagine:
There’s a reason we are on this forum and that’s to find bugs, find solutions (if posible) and to give ideas.
I don’t know why you want to hold it as a secret though.
