Hi I want more than 10% of the platform to play my game
I’ve been reading up on the publishing requirements and I’m confused. On everything. I’ve read official Roblox documentation on it (which seems to conflict), I’ve read dev posts (all with conflicting information), so I’m just making this post to see if I can get a clear answer
Does the 250 HPE eligibility matter. I don’t think it does because nothing says it does but why would it be there otherwise
Is the 1,000 Robux payment refunded after 90 days. When paying it says it’s refundable but I’ve read elsewhere that’s only if you reach some additional reach requirements
Why would anyone pay the expedited review for 50,000 robux, surely “quicker” is not worth 49k more
When you pay the 1,000, what happens after. Does it make it all ages after a few days or does Roblox run away with my money for an extended period of time
Any and all answers appreciated
I’m a small game dev releasing my first (gamejam-sized) game that I doubt will even have more than 1 active person playing, but I do it for the love of the game. This kills it
You’re looking at closer to 40%. The issue is getting that 40% to actually see your game.
To publish to users under 16, yes. Otherwise, no.
I believe it’s refunded after 30 days if you don’t hit the 250 HEP threshold, and it’s refunded after 90 days if you get the threshold and don’t have your game get banned for safety issues.
It’s meant for larger developers, not indie ones. For games which have tight release deadlines, the 50k is quite appealing to get it to all ages quickly.
The 50k fee also skips the HEP requirements all together, but your game does still has to be reviewed.
You have 30 days to get 250 HEP.
As I mentioned before, if you get the 250, you’ll get a refund after 90 days, otherwise you get the refund and I believe the HEP counter resets?
I’m not sure, I can afford plus so I don’t really need to care about the fee.
Unless if you’re making skibidi tung tung brainrot, the publishing reqs shouldn’t have an impact on player counts at all.
You still have to deal with the algos which have always been more of a problem.
I also don’t know where you’ve been getting “conflicting” information, it’s been made pretty clear on all sources what everything does. Of course there’s a little outdated information here and there, but nothing that conflicts.
