Pushed part obstacle

Hi, I’m trying to make a bridge kinda obstacle, so there will be a plank standing on edge of cliff and player have to push the plank so its will become a bridge, rn in my mind its should using hinge so the plank not falling to the wrong direction. but the problem is i want it locally so player must push their own plank :3
anyone have any idea how to solve the problem? thanks in advance

You could position the pushable bridge where you want it to be and then move it to the replicated storage, then in a player script move the instance into the workspace, make sure the bridge has something to hold it though as it could fall into the void and be destroyed if it’s too far away, due to streaming

Since physics will always replicate to other clients I believe that you would just have to insert the plank instance from the client itself, instead of just having it in the workspace from the start of the server.

You said “so player must push their own plank”.
Did you mean that only the player would be able to push it and nobody else would see it fall and become a bridge?
Or did you mean only your player would be able to interact with it? Like a ‘locked’ plank for other players.

You’d probably want to tween the bridge around a pivot point. HingeConstraints might be kind of messy when multiple players are around due to NetworkOwnership issues of the HingeConstraint that can make it move strangely. Here’s a tweened door tutorial on the forums for a good explanation of what I mean.
