QPTR Inconsistencies - Overview vs Acquisition

I believe that there appears to be inconsistencies with the QPTR that is shown in the ‘Overview’ section of the Analytics for games when compared to the ‘Acquisition’ section of the Analytics for games. Please see my report below.

On the ‘Overview’ section the QPTR shown for our game is shown as 0.20%, which is obviously very low. Please see screenshot attached.

However, on the ‘Acquisition’ section the QPTR shown for our game is above 5%. Please see screenshot attached along with other Acquisition breakdowns.

I believe the reason for the QPTR being shown as low on the ‘Overview’ section is because of how the game operates. Immediately when players join the game, they have the option to teleport to a separate Map. QPTR is based not only on the player joining the game, but also the amount of time that they spend in the game to become a ‘qualified play’. With this in mind, I believe that the QPTR shown on the ‘Overview’ section is only taking into account the specific Place, therefore making the QPTR so low here when compared to the ‘Acquisition’ section.

Expected behavior

I would expect that the QPTR shown on the ‘Overview’ section is made to take into account that some Roblox games have multiple Places connected which players teleport between.

I agree with you here, but unfortunately this is a dupe and has been classified as intentional behavior:

As stated by Roman, that this is intentional as they satisfy different use cases:

  1. By impression includes the same user seeing an impression over and over and over in the same day and is expected to be lower than (2, below)

“Qualified plays divided by impressions for Home recommendations.”

If you are looking for this number as shown on your Experience Overview Scorecard you can go to Acquisition > Home Recommendations > Qualified play through rate (recommendations)

  1. The other is by unique new user for the whole day. If a new users has a qualified play even once in the entire day it is considered a conversion

“Percent of new users who engaged with your experience after viewing an impression”
