I have a sword in my game (The Crucible) and I was wondering if anyone knew if this is violating the DOOM copyright laws, really all I need to know is if I should change the name? I can’t find anything on it since DOOM has so many OST’s and only comes up with music.
im pretty sure arsenal and other games use the crucible, but i dont know if they actually asked permission to use it

If your sword’s name or design doesn’t directly reference or resemble anything from DOOM, it shouldn’t violate copyright laws, but changing the name is a safer option.

Arsenal has the crucible but it isn’t named the same thing I believe.
