I’ve created a game for the first time, so I don’t know too much about how the Roblox algorithm works, especially when it comes to home recommendations and the Personalization feature.
Currently, I’m using two thumbnails for the home page. One is clearly performing better (as shown in the image above), but I’m unsure what the best move is:
Should I remove the lower-performing thumbnail?
or,
Is it better to keep both, so Roblox can continue choosing which to show based on the player?
Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. I know many of you have much more experience with this.
I think Roblox will show one of them not both at a time so if (lemme put example so it makes more sense, I will exaggerate a bit):
If an image will grab 99% of the people who see it and another grabs 1% of the people who see it and there is a 50/50 about which will appear it will only make sense to remove the lower performing since it is throwing away players. Roblox will show based on the player so if you do have multiple you will want it to have different styles and designed to grab different people, like ones that want a lot of dopamine and ones that want to just chill like that is what I did for my game.
