Questions on buying models from off site marketplaces

I’ve never brought/used assets from off of Roblox, but I’m thinking of doing it for one of my games. My only concern is if there’s any limitations I could encounter.

  1. The assets specify that the textures are 3000x3000. To my knowledge, anything above 1024x1024 gets reduced in size, when uploading to Roblox. Would this be a problem

  2. The model specifies

  • faces: 12.296
  • verts: 12.694
  • edges: 24.958

I don’t know anything about 3d modelling, but is this a high number, or some what reasonable and would perform well on Roblox??

Hello there,

 If I'm not wrong the number of vertices you *cannot* exceed is 10,000.

The maximum you can upload in a single mesh is 10k polygons, so you need to divide it up or not use it. The textures might also be an issue due to how UV maps work.
