Hello everyone. I have a question regarding an Idea I have for a game.
I want to make a game like Ready or Not. In this post, I will reffer to Ready or Not as RoN
RoN is a tactical shooter where you play as a SWAT commander to exfiltrate missions. Missions would have a backstory that are possible related to each other (For example, In RoN the following missions backup each other’s story. 23 Megabytes a Second, The Spider, Sinuous Trail, Hide and Seek and Valley of the Dolls. These missions correlate to show one story. Another story-line like this would be Thank you, Come again and Twisted Nerve.)
Note before reading any of the below. The game would be rated 17+ with tons of warnings before entering (E.g. Game description, Loading screens, Mission selection and so on.)
The game is ment to make you feel bad for each story while not being a part of that story. Let alone, you’re still a SWAT officer HELPING the people attacked by the story. It’s supposed to make your stomach twist from seeing all the things that actually go on. It’s’s supposed to be set in a realistic setting and to make you feel uncomfortable while playing it.
Each map would be based of a different story. Take the following story as an example:
Name: Deadly intent
Suspect: George Waynsley
Suspect backstory: George Waynsley used to work as military. He stayed there for 6 years before leaving due to mental health issues. He has alot of experience within guns and know's what he's doing when it comes to guns.
Backstory: George Waynsley dislikes all the tests and operations the government does so he goes out to assassinate the chief of the police. George Waynsley does this by shooting from the top of a hotel next to the police station as the chief is giving a speech about upcoming operations. George Waynsley would livestream himself which leads to the police being able to find his identity.
Briefing: Due to George Waynsley livestreaming himself, we found his identity. We know he's ex-military and that he has experience with guns. We need to proceed with caution in mind. We don't know how many victims have been involved though we know that multiple shots have been fired inside of the hotel. Multiple calls have reported that George Waynsley has planted bomb-traps around the hotel floor. Unknown with how many suspects are actually involved in the shooting, we need to be quick and proceed with caution.
Objectives: Arrest George Waynsley and Bring order to the chaos (arrest or take down each suspect)
