R15 being forced on my R6 avatar, even though rig type is set to user choice

Since I am making a hangout game, I’ve set every single avatar option to “Player choice”
My personal avatar is in R6 and for some reason the game spawns me in R15.

I’ve tried publishing the game and testing it on an actual server, still nothing. No scripts are interrupting since I’ve even tested the same thing on a completely fresh project without any scripts. It’s not my avatar’s issue either, because other games that allow both rig types spawn me in R6 like it should.

Why does it work like that and how can I fix this?

Sometimes it just takes a really long time to change, not sure why. Usually I just wait until the next day and by then the changes apply already.
Also make sure to check that you don’t have any StarterCharacters.

No starter character, almost brand new studio project. I’ve been away for a week, I come back and I’m still dealing with the same issue.

I found a solution, it was all caused by the new roblox update changing the avatar’s configuration.

Now what you have to do it press the 3 little dots in the top right corner of the avatar settings panel and set it to “R15 & R6”.

Great…
