RBX Global Auto-Ban

Introducing RBX Global Auto-Ban

I’m excited to share a brand-new community-driven enforcement tool RBX Global Auto-Ban. This system allows developers and players to report cheaters in games, anyone can use this tool for developers it’s as easy as clicking a button for the entire setup, for reporting players it’s as easy as filling out a 5 question report in our game then submitting it! Our staff team manually reviews all reports and bans cheaters. It takes a total of 5 minutes to ban that player from every game with the system in it, the system live bans as well so there is little to no maintenance needed from you as a developer.

PLUGIN LOOK TO SET IT UP

You can get the plugin here!

To report players you can go to this game and submit a report, all information must be accurate or we will not add the player to the list. For right now we are only banning exploiters! This system should not replace the report button in game this should only help with banning people.

This is not affiliated Roblox Corp. in any way

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT AND THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Honestly that skimmed right past me and I reread it like 10 times LOL

First of all thank your for actually focusing on the content not the logo, but as for our team the way we look into it is testing the game mechanics also upon reporting players players and devs must provide evidence that the player is cheating. We determine it mainly by proof provided and account information mainly join date and username, although we don’t ban people only over username or join date those are easy ways of seeing that its a throw away account. Overall I feel that as out team grows we will do better over time banning cheaters. I created this to mainly help game devs manage there games!

So what are the guidelines for banning people?

Why should games use this with such a high potential of abuse?

What stops false bans?

Are your staff members actually entirely competent and unbiased enough to be given this much power?

What happens if a staff member does ban someone who shouldn’t have been banned?

So what are the guidelines for banning people?
It really depends on what they are doing, this was created for managing the exploiter problem efficiently.

Why should games use this with such a high potential of abuse?
I am personally very strict about the stuff that goes on under my power and my staff knows this well, with that being said it is a easy way to not 100% fix the exploiter problem but help it get better.

What stops false bans?
Real humans looking into everything which we do

Are your staff members actually entirely competent and unbiased enough to be given this much power?
Our staff members are handpicked from people that I know well and talk to daily

What happens if a staff member does ban someone who shouldn’t have been banned?
The staff member will be terminated and the user will be unbanned

Yeah I’m sorry but this doesn’t make it any different from the 9 bagillion “global bans” that have been out there with many being found out to be corrupt with tons of internet drama and bias in doing their job, I think people would prefer letting roblox themselves handle “global” bans than some random people in whom they have never met nor ever talked to. I have nothing else to add as @https_KingPie has already said it for me, anything else I’d say would be parrot speech.

if you don’t see a system like this anywhere it’s probably because it’s pointless.

@Vanniris @balanths10 Use it if you want but there is no reason to just flat out assume that it is pointless and everyone is corrupt. I simply just made this to help developers and these type of comments are why people stop trying to help. Please think before you just spit on someone’s work.

No, I think what we said is pretty correct and quite true.

  1. If we wanted to ban an exploiter across all games that use x service, we already have a solution called “Roblox account ban” that bans them from, well, all games!
  2. Banning people from various games because they cheated in one is stupid. Mainly because that is now warrantable of a Roblox ban, but there is no need to ban a player because they misbehaved in one game and not in another.
  3. Again, this has been tried, and failed. Research first.

And again please do not spit on peoples work it is so disrespectful as a developer. This is made to ban exploiters not a person that glitches your game or abuses a bug, that is why we ban them from every game that the system is in.

Agree, we should ban them from the internet. (not a permanent ban of course, and not a short one)

Using cheats is okay in offline games, but if you use it online you make everyone else’s life worse.

I can’t count the many times that I and others stopped playing after encountering an obvious hacker, either quitting, leaving, or just letting the keyboard be until the match ends (In ranked you can’t leave that match or you’ll be banned, oh the irony).

I am not responding to this post/topic, only to the quoted message.
And I am not talking about false-positive reports.

A retry of something that has been attempted thousands of times, alright

I don’t know if this is satire, but if I did not explain myself properly earlier, I’m saying if someone cheats in one game, why would we ban them from select other games that they may not even have played? Platform issued bans would be fine, cheating breaks their terms anyway. You choose to cheat in x game you get punished in x, not in y or z when you have never even played them. Imagine trying them for the first time then find out you’re banned for - no reason.

I am not sure what this word means, but I was serious.
Of course I didn’t mean to ban them from browsing the internet but to ban or mark them in every online game (similar to Steam VAC ban).

Because the chance of them cheating again is high.

Are we talking about the same thing? I don’t know why you are belittling cheating (hacking, exploiters).

It’s similar to platform bans but on a smaller scale. If I heard correctly, Roblox bans cheaters in ban waves rather than immediate bans, so hypothetically a cheater can cheat for a month or longer before Roblox bans them.
