RDC PUMA Jacket is published under Puma instead of Roblox

Impacted Accessory: RDC PUMA Jacket - Roblox
Brief Description: Accessory is published under “Puma” as opposed to “Roblox”

Every year, Roblox crafts exclusive accessories for attendees of the Roblox Developer’s Conference. In 2023, Roblox collaborated with Puma to award the RDC Puma Jacket automatically to all attendees. This item, however, was published under the Puma account as opposed to the Roblox one.

Publication under the Puma account led to many developers being unaware of the fact that they had this item, as items published by accounts other then Roblox get significantly less social media coverage (i.e. Item Notifiers) and generally are more overlooked. I’ve had to tell a few friends of mine of this item’s existence, some didn’t know they had this for years!

Additionally - these items, always, are published under the Roblox account. This has been a precedent established for over a decade now. Since the release of the UGC catalog:

  • RDC 2024 had an item published to the Roblox account.
  • RDC 2022 had several items published to the Roblox account.
  • RDC 2021 had several items published to the Roblox account.
  • RDC 2020 had several items published to the Roblox account.
  • RDC 2019 had several items published to the Roblox account.
Prior to RDC 2019, all accessories were created by the Roblox account.

Given the precedent established, as well as the description not being set (being just -), as well as the general nature of this item is indicative to me that this accessory is bugged and was meant to be published under the @Roblox account.

Expected behavior

The RDC Puma Jacket should be moved to the Roblox account.

I completely agree with this and this item should be moved to the Roblox account

Thank you for this thorough report and for taking the time to document the history of RDC items.

While you are correct about the precedent for past RDC rewards - Because it was a direct collaboration with Puma, the item was intentionally published under their official account to highlight the partnership.

We do recognize this was a departure from the norm and appreciate your feedback on how that caused confusion for attendees. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!
