Read-Only Chat For Moderation Permission Issue

Hello,

Our moderators are needing to see the read-only chat for moderation. We have enabled “Access read-only chat (must be 18+) and configure bans for all group experiences”, and granted them the role with this permission. The staff member helping me test is 21+ ID verified and has their son’s account chatting - and they cannot see the messages.

I read the forum post says “With this permission, creators can toggle a ‘read-only chat for moderation’ setting in-game to see every message sent in Experience Chat.”

Where is this setting I need to enable “in-game” to allow this system to work? Am I understanding this correctly?

Expected behavior

I expect moderators to be able to see the read-only chat once they are granted this role with the permission.

Ah, there it is! None of our ~20 staff members knew about that setting. It’s also not discussed anywhere that I could find on the forums or documentation. I was assuming it was an in-studio setting. I’ll let them know, thank you.

Let me check in with the team and see if we can update the documentation so its clear that the mod has to toggle the settings.
