I was wondering if there was a way for me to make realistic (or at least semi reaslitic) builds/models without blender(or really anything outside of Roblox studio but I am open) If so, any tips?
yes, you can build pretty much the same models in Roblox using provided primitives,
but that will be not that optimized, both from geometry complexity (that eventually hits game performance) and flow(it takes more time in Roblox).
Don’t, just bite the bullet and loot at a couple tutorials
Yes.
- CSG (this will impact performance however, so don’t overuse it)
- MaterialVariants
Also use a reference for whatever you’re building.
No
I will be truthy and blunt:
You will make a laggy unoptimized ugly looking slop
Unless you are going to reinvent entire 3D software in roblox studio using EditableImage/EditableMesh (and why would you?) don’t do that
Every 3D model is a triangle and NOT a primitive
This is the core fact you should build mindset around
Originally back in 2017 I started building I used roblox parts, 6 years since converting to blender it is a breeze, its a worthy investment to learn.
how long did it take for it to be a breeze?
It’s literally like 3 months max, bro.
Blender is so easy and fast to learn
You just have to ask questions and look up the answers instead of getting stuck in tutorial hell
I have knew nothing past basic nagivation in september 2025 and by the middle of november knew almost everything i will need
