Realistic Hunting Bigfoot Devlog 2!

Hey guys, im @refightx! Ive been working on this game for a little over 2 months. I wanted to get yalls opinions on the game so far.

If you havent seen the first devlog here it is. I suggest you read it before reading this one.

Im going to break this devlog down into 3 parts.

Firstly I’m going to show y’all what is done on the game.

What Is Done On The Game.

First of all the assets done in the game is

  • Picnic Table
  • 2 Variations Of Outdoor Lights
  • 3 Variation Of Fences
  • Indoor, and Outdoor Pot
  • Lantern
  • Cooler
  • 2 Variations Of A Cardboard Box
  • 5 Books
  • 6 Different Window Variations
  • Hanging Lights
  • Couch
  • Chair
  • Rug
  • Bed
  • Metal Shelf
  • Toolbox(Not I studio yet)
  • Flare Gun
  • And A Few More I Forgot About(Oopsies)

What is done with scripting.

Scripts That Are Done.
  • Hunger, Thirst, Health Bar
  • Random Loot Spawning
  • Random Bag Spawning
  • Viewmodels Work
  • Guns Kinda Work lol…
  • Doors/Drawers Opening
  • Lobby
  • BearTrap System
  • Healing, Hunger, and Thirst Gaining

Tons of other small things that make it work, but those are mainly unimportant.

Here is What Is Being Worked On In The Game

Current State Of The Game.

There are 3 sections to this part. First is the scripting

All there is left to do scripting wise is Here.

  • Finish Lobby System
  • Flare Gun System
  • Finish Bigfoot Ai
  • Random Dead Body Spawning
  • Stamina System

That is most of the scripting left. not much at all!

Here is what is left to do on the map/building.

Building Left To Do In-Game.

First of all, most of the assets are done, but now I just have to finish the map.

  • 3 Camping Sites
  • 2 Tourist houses
  • Tourist houses in one POI
  • Spawn Is Almost Done
  • River/Waterfall Is Done
  • Mountain Side Tourist House, and old shed (1 POI)
  • 3 Possible Bigfoot Spawn Caves

Now onto my favorite, but what im worst at part is UI!

Ui That Is Not Done

None of the ui is done lol. All of it is awful. It’s being done by a professional ui designer so im excited to see how it looks!

Here is all the ui being worker on

  • Inventory Frame
  • Lobby Frame (5 frames in one basically.)
  • Loading Screen
  • Health, Hunger, Stamina, Thirst Bars
  • Death Screen
  • End Game Screen
  • Teleporting Screen

That is all the work that the game needs. I will provide screenshots of buildings, and POIs being worked on!

Now onto the future of the game.

Future Of The Game.
Core Loop Of The Game I Want To Make.

How I want this game to go is. You start in the lobby, join into the game. Take time to load into the game. Reason: Let the items, and bags spawn in. Maybe add a cutscene before the game starts. You spawn in loot, and get going to other POI’s before Bigfoot attacks you. Loot as much as possible, and explore the map.

That’s the games core loop. I’m going to try to keep the rounds around 30-60 minutes each. Gets enough premium payouts, because the game does not have many game passes.

All Buyable/PowerUps In The Lobby.

There will be a few buyable characters, and will have PowerUps/Perks For each Character.
Characters Will Have 2 PowerUps Built-In, but there will be 2 extra slots for PowerUps that players can buy with in-game currency. I think that will come in a later update, not when the game first releases.

That’s what I want the game to be. I’m hoping to get the game out by the end of may!
