Reasons why I shutdown Prison World
_________________________________________________Reason 1: A developer quitting
After so much, the other developer ended up quitting. Due to this I had to do it all on my own, many many attempts at keeping the development going didn't work.Reason 2: The games base
Although it might have looked fine from the outside, the game was using some of my old "Rblx Andy" scripts. These scripts were for basic things, but were highly messy. Luckily, Outlaws City will not be using these scripts, and will be using what I call "Outlaw Scripts" and these are going to be easy to update.Reason 3: Really hard to update
Most of the games scripts were not update friendly. Lets say I wanted to add a new car, using a better car spawning system, it would be easy. But using the system it had, I would have to hard code new code. This mainly was because I didn't put effort, I just slapped this and that and bam, we got a game that uses terrible code. The early code is good. But the code from late in development wasn't.Reason 4: Looked like crap
The games graphics were a mix of my old building style, and my new one. The UI, didn't flow and it was not polished. But, I hope Outlaws City will not be like Prison World in these ways, and Iām not rushing it.
