Recent Roblox update causing crashing/freezing when teleporting between places

Occurring consistently in Arcane Odyssey, teleporting across places throughout the universe (specifically from the titlescreen to places with main content) causes freezing or crashing. Some players are reporting their game crashing, while others are reporting taking extremely long times to load in (with Windows’ “Roblox Game Client is not responding” popup appearing). This only started occurring 1-2 days ago, likely after this week’s update to the game client, and nothing in our game has been changed within that timeframe.

(System specs in repro video: Intel i5-10300H, NVIDIA GTX 1650, 16 GB RAM)
This goes on to either crash the game, or to stay on this screen for a while before finally loading in.
May be irreproducible on higher end devices, but is being reported to be occurring by a good portion of our playerbase.

Thanks for reporting the issue. Do you happen to have the client log file with the crash/freeze?

I am getting reports of the same thing happening with Fantastic Frontier, though for us it is not after teleporting, but instead when joining the base game. A few of these reports follow up by saying they are also experiencing additional freezing / lag as they travel around the map.

Personally, I have not been able to reproduce these issue in the client - however our development places for the same game have been consistently freezing for ~5 minutes while opening them in studio on multiple PCs. This started happening at the same time these client-sided freezes were reported so I imagine it is the same issue.

(Sent a log to jjwu_play for the studio version of the freezing, which was 20+ minutes in this case)

Yes, I sent you a PM with a client log attached. I wasn’t able to replicate the crashing, but it did freeze the app and take an excessive time to load for that session.

Thank you both for sending the logs. We’re investigating and will update when we know more about the issue.
