We have custom avatar characters and many animations.
Recently we went to update some characters and found that the import of some of the animation (fbx) files no longer works in Studio. These files worked fine previously (1-2 months ago).
Specifically, the FBX files are generated from Maya and were an export of a subset of the bones (not the whole character, and no meshes). These were used for many of the Action animations where only some bones would move.
The animation import in Studio simply logs:
Uploading asset meshes…
And then does nothing. No errors or anything, and the animation does not import.
We hope this can get fixed!

If the model is in the same file as the fbx then you just need to send the fbx. If you are loading the animation onto another model, then please also provide an fbx or rblx file to work from.

I am currently getting this issue as well, if you want to take this into DMs feel free to shoot me one and I can send you files. But it seems that this is happening to any rig for me.

We have put things back. If you restart studio the problem should go away.
We’ve got test files to fix now (thanks Iceman_137!) and will fix this issue before turning that feature on again.
