I’m having issues with false flags on recolored/adjusted versions of my own items, even though none of them have even been set on sale before, and they are all original.
every single one of these items has never been on-saled, and are all fully original creations.
I tried to post the moon a few more times with tweaks and even a totally different texture, but they still were marked as reduced visibility every time (below)
Recolors of my own accessories should not count as unoriginal creations, and accessories that have never been published to the catalog shouldn’t be counted towards this system flagging items for unoriginality, since Roblox gives us no way to fix or adjust uploaded accessories other than to reupload them.
Mind you it’s impossible to appeal these despite appeals portal entries being generated for them. If you’re not going to accept the appeals, just don’t give us the option to even try.
Part of me suspects this isn’t a bug, but an intended feature (that might be over-tuned), because originality on the marketplace is a pretty big issue that I’d like to see them address.
However, if intentional, it’s very confusing that this behavior came unannounced, but also if we’re going to be punished for making variants/recolors of items, then Roblox needs to give us some system for different colorways. I hope it’s not intentional (or at least in this state it’s not), and Roblox is able to better address the issue without punishing item variants or editing broken thumbnails.
Having the same problem with my all my Text Bubbles UGC items in my group, I can see how it thinks its the same but its still somewhat different since its still a new asset with a different text idea
Also, adding on that I was uploading a recolor of a (old) previous item and before it even passed moderation, I believe Roblox detected it was the same meshid or geometry and flagged it.
Reading the learn more info seems to indicate it’s only a problem if other creators copy your mesh, so I’d suspect it’s a bug where you can be flagged as a copier/infringer of yourself
I have ran into the same issue with two of my items being instantly flagged by the system. As a result of this AI error, I have lost UGC access for a week…
