Don’t know if self-promotion is allowed, but just know that I gain absolutely no benefit from this.
I recently posted my version of an in-game GUI redesign following the relatively recent release that was implemented a couple of months ago. Reinforcing the idea of a black bar running on the top of the screen, I implement some touch-ups and offered some new suggestions to how UI can provide a better gameplay experience.
Though I don’t foresee myself doing any additional edits to this concept (edits are time-consuming and somebody’s got an intern position now ), I would still like the community’s feedback on this concept.
It looks very nice but I don’t think it fits well with ROBLOX. ROBLOX games are generally rugged in terms of both level geometry and user-created UI. Such a smooth theme would stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the place.
I think Roblox needs to add a bunch of different layouts that we can chose for our game. That way we can chose wether or not to use the top-bar. Plus add different coloring options so they can fit in with our games.
I see. Seeing that the current UI seems a quite busy especially with the user UI put on top of it, I thought that perhaps having a clear and cohesive system laid down would help bring clarity to the UI and maybe inspire user-created UI to do the same? Wishful thinking, I guess. :durrr:
