Redundant cookie button is obscuring UI elements on small screens

Recently, a cookie button (which doesn’t respect forum language settings!) has manifested and stuck itself permanently to the bottom right of the screen

Not only is this button redundant (as the “Your Privacy Choices” button at the bottom of the page goes to the same dialog), but it’s also actively annoying, getting in the way, cluttering the screen and obscuring UI elements on the bottom right
Even post creation isn’t safe, as it magically finds itself infront of everything

Expected behavior

The button should be removed at once from the devforum, as it serves no purpose apart from blocking people on smaller screens from accessing stuff in the bottom right

Page URL: <devforum.roblox.com (it’s persistent across the entire devforum)>

Hello There! I hope you’re doing well.
Thank you for taking the time to submit this issue and for reading our message.

To help us move forward, we’d appreciate your support with a few questions:

  • Is this issue still occurring on your device?

  • If so, your system information? What device R U using?

Thank you again for your cooperation!

I can also confirm this on my phone, moto g35 on Google Chrome on Android 14. It blocks the post number you’re on, so on large announcements, ypu have to scroll all the way up to get to the original, whereas before you could select the post number you’re viewing.

It’s also happening on my end… Google chrome, android 15

I can’t even attach a picture since it’s literally blocking the attachment button while in portrait mode.

still occurs for me even on PC, this is pure crime having it cuz i usually press the “x” button instead of “close” next to it

This blocks the post counter on mobile which is the only way of jumping to posts without knowing the number.

Even after clicking Decline All, it still doesn’t go away

since the mountain of reply posts doesn’t seem to be bringing any progression, i’ll go ahead and reply myself

The device that I’m currently using is a redmi note 10 5G, and the button is still an issue

For people using a computer to access the devforum:
The button can be removed using a CSS-modifying plugin (such as Stylus), using the following CSS:

.evidon-consent-button  {
    display: none !important;
}

IIRC, you can also modify CSS on mobile devices (although I’m not as certain on how), in which case the above should work.

Stylus is available as an extension of Firefox Mobile (well, Android at least), same with the now defunct Kiwi Browser. Note that iOS users do not have options for extensions as Apple mandates the use of their own WebKit rendering engine even on third-party browsers (so, for example, Firefox looks like Firefox but uses Safari’s browser engine).

Can’t we just remove it, or hide it in settings? No one really bothers with it too much, it’s just annoying.

this whats in it btw

This is what’s in it for me :skull:

thats wierd

image

also this leads to the same menu

wait how is this even supposed to work if actual like vendor settings and such don’t exist

like every cookie page has at least a few switches and categories but this has nothing beyond a few vague buttons and links?

It’s still occurring as of 21/02, whether I accept or decline it still stays here.

It’s weird because it looks like that accepting or declining doesn’t do anything?
