As a Roblox user, it is currently too hard to fix my account region when the system automatically changes it to the wrong one. My account can get locked into a region ive never visited like Vietnam, Russia, or others, and there is no clear way to revert this change. Support tickets almost never resolve the issue, and the auto-detection system appears inconsistent, some users get moved back after a few weeks, while others remain stuck indefinitely.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve the user experience because players could make purchases using their local payment methods and avoid being locked out of content due to an automated system error. It would also give users a fair and transparent way to correct incorrect region and reduce the burden on support by providing a clearer process.
I propose adding a region appeal system similar to the existing age verification process. Users would submit a request through a dedicated system and provide a photo of their ID to verify the identity. After that, the system would monitor the IP addresses the account logs in from over a period of about one to two weeks. If the IPs consistently match the claimed region, the region gets updated. If not, the request gets rejected with a notification.
The appeal system could use a similar interface to the existing age verification process.
This might not be the perfect or the only solution, but something like this is desperately needed. The current system makes too many mistakes to simply ignore, and leaving users with no way to appeal feels unfair. Whether its this approach or something else, having a clear process for these cases would make a big difference.
