Regional Pricing Doesn't Apply to my Account

Hello,

I reside in Turkey, but regional pricing is not applying to my account. I have tested multiple games and experiences across Roblox, and Gamepasses/Developer Products are displaying at full global prices (or default prices) for me.

My friends who also live in Turkey receive reduced regional prices for the exact same items on their accounts, but my account shows the standard unadjusted rates everywhere.

I do not use VPNs or proxies and I’ve bought some Robux in the past, and my account location is set to Turkey. Could you please check my account’s economic location status and help update/resolve my regional pricing settings?

Thank you!

@starhiker13 Would you take a look at this, please? It’s been an issue for me for months now. I’ve checked other posts about this, but they all say the same, “ecological location”. I don’t use a VPN in any of the devices I’m logged into. I didn’t buy robux recently because it’s not available in my region but in the past before it was unavailable, I bought robux.

I also reside in the same country, but this is intended behavior as it currently works. If you read the Regional Pricing article, Roblox enables regional pricing based on a user’s economic location.

Economic location is not always the same as account location. To determine a user’s economic location, Roblox looks at signals including VPN usage, billing history, and account history. If your economic location can’t be determined, you’ll see the default global price for the item instead.

Therefore, your economic location may not have been determined due to a number of factors. In that case, Roblox will display the default global price for you.

This is upsetting, and I agree that a change would be good, to be honest, because you’re still in that region :face_vomiting::victory_hand:

Somehow, gamepasses are more expensive for me??
In example, in Cold War the “Spetsnaz-GRU” gamepass’ base price is 400, but for me it’s 460.

Every gamepass is more expensive than the base price.

The gamepass prices in the game you provided are cheaper for me, even though my account doesn’t have regional pricing because VPNs messed up my economic location detection.

So what you’re experiencing has to be a bug, bro :sob::victory_hand: How can a product even be more expensive than the actual base price? I thought Roblox would only apply discounts after that point, especially considering the fact that Roblox literally announced Roblox-Provided Discounts on In-Game Items :face_vomiting:

If it’s a bug, then can a Roblox staff (@starhiker13 maybe) take a look at it and explain why is it like this?

Hi, thank you for reaching out. For purposes of Regional Pricing, economic location is not always the same as account location. To determine a user’s economic location, Roblox looks at signals, including VPN usage, billing history, and account history. If their economic location can’t be determined, users see the default global price for the item instead.

Why is he seeing pricing above the base price, though? :wilted_flower::broken_heart: That HAS to be a bug.
