Hi everyone, here are the release notes for 710! We had brownies for dessert today at the Roblox HQ and I may or may not have eaten 3.
Wishing you all a great week filled with chocolatey goodness ![]()

Can I have some of those brownies? ![]()
Do you have any pictures of the brownies? It is a very nice thing to share.
In Luau’s New Type Solver, allows intersection types that extend the shape of a given Roblox API type. For example, Accessory & { Handle: BasePart } is now treated as an Accessory extending with a Handle property of the type BasePart.
Now we won’t have to define extra variables in our --!strict LuaSourceContainers.
Ever since I started university I have been starving and living alone

I don’t know if my time perception is wrong but I have been noticing nice things for decals and textures, I hope we get to see other cool things, such as brightness.
i still dont know why brownies are brown
chocolate
chocolate is white though
fair point
You can decrease brightness on a decal by either making it more transparent or bringing its RGB values closer to 0, and you can increase brightness by making its RGB values greater than (1,1,1)

Will this also work for the “magic” types of Instance members, such as Parent or FindFirstChild, or does this only serve to fix needing to intersect Roblox types as the second component (e.g. {foo: Instance} & Instance)?
What exactly is considered a “shared” asset here? Does this mean we could e.g. apply texture changes to player avatar meshes at runtime now for ability effects and the like?

I hope this applies to heads ![]()
We want our share of brownies!! ![]()
These decals & texture updates are amazing and opens a lot of possibilities. Thank you!!!

This is also really interesting. I’m looking forward to see what this opens up. It’d be really useful if you could mix two Decals with different Color3, and the final result would respect their individual tints
Nice to see some fixes for the blurry text. Been so long.
when will the EditableImage maximum size limit increase ![]()
great updates though! the uv rotation feature sounds awesome
nice release notes when nothing was released

hmmm what else would live means then
