Tired of trusting people leaking your game? There are so many people who said the same thing.
People with certain ranks who have access to be on a group game or your own game should or should not have access to Download a Copy of the game file of your game.
Let me better explain,
Just because people that have group studio access or own personal studio access to your game doesn’t mean they should be allowed to copy it. That’s how leaking of a game gets shared all over the internet.
Can Roblox make it where if you are not a trusted group rank or user, they shouldn’t be copy? Better yet, copy and paste the leaked assets from 1 game to another?
i agree with you, but do you think even if they fix this issue that it would fix the greater problem of copy and pasting, somebody in your experience can also copy any instances they want for them, what do you think would be necessary to counter-act this other issue ?
That is an extremely great point. Unless if a person is using a free model, then theyre allowed to use it anywhere (including copy and pasting). But with someones scripts and other stuff, that can change roads.
While this might be nice, Sadly this is the wrong place to post feature requests. To send non forum related feature requests, it would needed to be posted in Feature Requests > Studio Features so it get’s properly viewed by staff!
ive said this in a post before but when it comes to downloading copies of a game there is things u can do to deter it. If your gonna have someone on your studio that u dont trust fully u can always make a separate baseplate to showcase only specific things from your game that way the only possibility is they copy the model or whatever your showing and not the whole game
If someone wants to steal your content they are going to do it whether that button exists or not. In order for them to see and interact with the contents of the place (whether this is editing in studio directly or just via team create is irrelevant) their device needs to receive the data that it uses to construct the datamodel.
All you’re doing is making it only ever so slightly harder until one person makes and distributes a tool that can automate stealing via the network stream. If you can’t trust someone not to steal or leak game contents don’t give them access to game contents at all, period.
At best the thing you SHOULD be asking for and of which feature requests already exists in one form or another for is granular access permissions for contributors. That way you could just entirely block someone’s ability to, for example, read or write to source code, or prevent them from accessing models/builds in specific containers.
You can’t stop a person from copying a place to which you are WILLINGLY giving HIM access TO. Just don’t give them access to the entire place??? Or sign a contract if you’re that skeptical?
Either that or it’s moderation not being the best again. Sometimes moderators don’t take down topics just for hakai to take it down days or weeks later after the initial moderator didn’t take it down
