As a Roblox developer interacting with my games’ audience, it is currently very time-consuming to answer players’ messages in Group Forums due to the Captchas.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I do my best to actively answer my players’ issues or suggestions in the Group Forums, and the Captchas make the process a lot more time-consuming than it has to be, ultimately leading to frustration and lower motivation to interact with the community.
Example of issue:
Today, I wrote an answer to a user’s message in 9 seconds.
After submitting the message I got hit with a 10 step Captcha, taking me 87 seconds to complete. That’s a 967% increase in time needed to answer the user.
While the Captchas are not always this extreme, at least one Captcha is always needed for every new message.
Edit: as of now, every reply requires a 10-step captchas of type " Use the arrows to match the icon on the left to the cup with the most liquid (1 of 10)", each requiring going through up to 10 options and analyzing them, especially difficult with the low resolution provided.
Proposed solutions:
-
Do not require Captcha completion for the owner (or any users with the administrator permission). These are people who are there to address players’ issues and need to answer a large quantity of messages.
-
Loosen the requirements for abovementioned users, such as only requiring Captcha completion for the first message in a web session.
-
If you have some very good reason to keep verifying even the group owner for every single message, at the very least scrap the multi-step Captchas.
