Render bug with ice mesh on neon river

Seems to be neon causing this?

This is most likely an Occlusion Culling issue (remember, it’s still open for improvements). I’m having this problem, but not because of the material itself, but because of the geometry of the objects. Currently, it’s caused by joints. Try using a different material and be more specific about the problem so Roblox can fix it quickly (if the problem is due to the engine, of course).

Hi there, could you please provide more repro information, specifically a place file and repro steps. Or if this isn’t your experience, a link to the game and repro steps and device information?

Thanks!

This is not caused by occlusion culling, it’s caused by the way Roblox does transparency sorting. You can still see part of one of the icicles sorted behind the river. This is a very old issue with Roblox’s rendering tech and not one I expect them to fix.

If the neon river part has transparency, try removing it.

  1. make private server
  2. go to the cave area with the neon river
  3. cast glacius maxima on the river and move the camera up looking at it on the neon river

I’m not seeing the issue, do you mind sending a screen recording to show what the bug is? Sorry for the hassle - thank you for the repro info.
