Reordering of badges

While I am well aware there are feature requests in place for the ability to reorder badges on the website, I have a potential workaround and I am curious if other developers have tried it before I waste robux on it.

Essentially the problem is that you cannot change the order that badges are displayed as on the game page of a website, this can lead the list to look disjointed when badges that make sense to be grouped together, are not.

My potential solution to this, is to make a bunch of blank badges, then enable and change their name, image and description later.

In my example, say I have badges for completing each map.
I then later add a badge for an event.
Now I add more maps, and the badge for completeing those maps end up after the event one.

Instead, I could make a bunch of blank badges named “map 1” “map 2” “map 3” etc.
and then when I add more maps, change the name, image and description of these badges, then enable them.
I see no reason why this wouldn’t work so if anyone else has done this or has any ideas regarding this it would be welcome.

Personally, I think this should be a feature in the website itself, kinda annoying sorting it by date they were created (I don’t have any methods as I don’t really touch badges - I just thought I’d give my input)

yeah there is already alot of feature request posts asking for this, if they were going to add it they would have by now. Hence why I was curious if anyone had tried this work around before I spend a tonne of robux on badges to test it lol

Personally, if nobody has got the badge yet, I’d just rename a badge before/after the badge that needs to be grouped

You can already just make placeholder badges and then you can change all of that already too.
