Replace group/user tabs with drop down menu

There are several places on the ROBLOX website where two tabs are shown: one for the user and one for his groups.

There are a couple of problems with this approach:

  • The tabs tend to get out of sync. For example, the group creations tab on the develop page doesn’t feature shirts, t-shirts, or pants despite the fact that groups can have these types of assets.
  • It adds a lot of unecessary visual clutter.

I propose that this two-tab system be replaced with a drop down menu. This would serve two purposes: first it emphasizes who is currently logged in by showing their picture and name, and secondly it allows the user to switch account contexts to one of his groups.

I doubt they would change this so far down the road. Roblox is probably working on the new redesign already.

Even if they won’t do it maybe they will take this idea for the new one?
