Recently I’ve just made a briefcase system where a player can store and collect a tool in a briefcase model. It works by moving the tool into a folder in ReplicatedStorage when storing and moving the tool into the player’s character when collecting. (uses a server script btw)
I’m wondering if it’s better to use ReplicatedStorage or ServerStorage for putting and removing existing instances?
That’s up to you to decide. Anything in replicated storage gets stored on the server and a copy gets replicated to all clients. If you NEED the clients to access a copy of this storage directly, then use replicated storage. If the clients don’t need a copy of the tools then just use server storage since that saves some memory on the client. Otherwise it really doesn’t matter.
in case of you don’t want create other remove logic script when player leaves
or (this requires one script logic for that) just drop it’s tools into workspace which where player’s character location was, when player leave
