A few months ago I request to join AllowFeatureRequests but I did not get an answer after a month, so I asked to eliminate my request to send another, they did, try to send another request but it seems that it continues in the system.
A few months have passed and still continues:
When it started happening;
In February, I sent my request.
In March, I ask to eliminate my request and try to send another.
Now I can’t send another.
Why do I report this now? I thought it would be solved over time or update, but nop
Discourse doesn’t have a good way to rescind group join requests. Moderators cannot delete the group request for you, they can only delete the private message, but that is not actually the group join request itself.
Your join request to that group is still open.
We don’t intend to change anything about this since this is an edge case and ultimately we don’t want this group join request thing to be a long-term feature we have on the forum, as we want feature requests to be open to all. There’s also no point to rescinding here. So we will not take action on this, apologies for the inconvenience.
