Restore Place Visits Visibility on User Profiles

It’s currently too hard to quickly assess the reach and credibility of other developer’s games because place visit counts are no longer visible on user profiles.

Previously, Roblox profiles displayed total place visits, which made it easy to understand how much engagement a developer’s game creations had received over time. Since the profile redesign, this information has been removed, and there is currently no built in way to view it directly from a user’s profile.

If this issue is addressed, it would improve my development experience because it would restore an important form of context when looking at developers & their experience of game development level, and the real world engagement of their work.

Possible use cases and problems this causes

  • Developer networking & collaboration

When looking to collaborate, hire, or join a team, place visits provided quick insight into whether someone has shipped games that players actually engaged with.

  • Evaluating experience beyond follower counts

Followers, friends, or Roblox badges (RIP) don’t always reflect actual game reach. Place visits helped distinguish developers who had meaningful player engagement, even if they weren’t highly social or well known.

  • Discovery and trust

For newer developers, seeing place visits on established profiles helped set realistic goals and inspired learning paths.

  • Historical drop

This feature existed before and was removed during the profile restructuring, despite still being relevant to development and creator identity.

Possible direction?

One possible approach could be reintroducing place visits under the “Statistics” section when clicking the “More” button on a user’s profile,

Another approach could be to allow users to opt-in via a visibility toggle in settings. This would respect privacy while restoring functionality for developers who may find this data valuable.

Hey
I don’t know if this is a local update for you or an upcoming update. But i can still see the place visits on an users profile if you scroll down towards the statistics? All that i know is that this only counts place visits from experiences created by this user, and not visits from group-owned places.

Example of my profile

Surprisingly, you still have the old profile layout. This post refers to the new layout which is being rolled out quickly.

I tried checking not being logged in, profile now looks awful.
Glad i still have extensions, that fixes the profile!

And i hate that it only shows “Active” games place count now, before roblox showed total place counts, now it’s just active games (Public games), this isn’t correct usage of data.

The old 2-tab profile was the best!

The top one is the official yes.
The bottom one is from an extension, because i hate this new UI, which doesn’t work at all.

They seriously need to bring back Place Visits on user profiles. Getting rid of Place Visits was a huge mistake. Displaying Place Visits was a large part of verifying the authenticity of a player without relying on Verified badges alone, which are not 100% accurate, especially for those who have work that does not meet verification requirements directly.

Furthermore, there is no such thing as the “well just check how many accumulated visits they have based on the games they have created” excuse to remove it, especially because not every player is going to simply check how many visits a player has, by wasting their time checking all of their games directly. It is a pointless activity and is unnecessary for the most part. Additionally, even you visit your own game to see how many visits your game has, the visits use an abbreviation and not the full value.

For context, removing Place Visits from user profiles, I feel, is akin to removing the Follower counts on user profiles. Removing the Place Visits metric from user profiles is so unnecessary and I have no clue why Roblox would decide to wake up one day remove it. It’s the same as asking how many followers a player has directly, just because they decided to remove the “Followers” counter one day.

It does more harm than good having the Place Visits counter removed and I wish Roblox would stop removing such important metrics so unnecessarily without a good reason. Now Place Visits are no longer easily verifiable and unverified users become less credible. Removing Place Visits, I believe, is a downgrade to the credibility of experienced developers as a whole.

This is one of the worst updates I’ve ever encountered, especially since you can’t even view place visits in games as well, not just the place visits in the user’s profile.

Why did they even remove it in the first place? Such a stupid update, we need it back.

and now the extension is broken !!

I agree with this. I’d love to know what my total place visits are of all the games displayed on my profile. Also tried that extension. It’s broke

Roblox keeps deleting alot of unnecessary stats and helpful features, I still don’t understand why they removed “Place visits” and the “Last Online” stat, it makes your profile look pretty meaningless other then your bio.
