I recently got approved to use the new Rights Manager, and was notified by someone that my clothing was stolen, so I figured I would use this to try it out.
So, I put the link in, which is clothing from my group. I own the group on my main, I don’t have a holder, and yet it tells me I can only link my own creations. Does this mean the uploader of the item has to issue the strikes? I use uploader alt accounts due to roblox’s bad moderation often deleting clothing that isn’t actually bad
Subsequently, I tried putting my UGC. (modeled by me, but uploaded by someone else since I’m not in the program) and the same thing happened. It seems the rights manager currently is useless, or it’s just buggy.
Also unsure if this is the right category to post this in, but if any Roblox devs/admins see this, it should be something that is fixed.
The rights manager is also only available under your own account, so I can’t even choose to strike under my group, which is something I tried but no option for it.
With how big Roblox has been getting and the new updates they’ve been making for creators, when I saw the rights manager and how easy it appeared to send out takedowns, I was very excited, since clothing is always stolen and UGC ideas are ripped off and writing that huge takedown email is a hassle, so let’s make sure this gets seen so creators can ACTUALLY take stuff down. It appears to be only useful for UGC program creators that upload UGC on their own accounts, and game owners that don’t use groups, which is a very small percentile of creators.
