Hey everyone!
I’d like to share a plugin I’ve been working on called RigLink. It’s built to make the process of rigging models and parts with Motor6Ds easier, whether you’re doing characters, machines, or anything in between.
The goal with RigLink is to save you time and give you more control when you need it. Here’s a quick breakdown of what it can do — along with some GIFs so you can see it in action.
Automatic Connections (with Smart Placement)
RigLink can automatically create Motor6D connections between parts — either in pairs or as a full chain. What makes it a bit smarter than most is how it figures out where to place the joint: it uses face overlap between the parts to find a better spot for the pivot, so you don’t have to fix it afterward.
Manual Connections (With Flexible Alignment)
If you want more control over where the motors go, you can toggle on Manual Alignment. This lets you move the joint position yourself before confirming the connection. It works great for both single pairs and full chains, letting you go step-by-step and adjust as needed.
Close Button Doubles as Cancel
One small but useful feature: the plugin’s close button doesn’t just exit the window. If you’re in the middle of manually placing a joint, clicking it once will cancel that step and bring you back to the part selection. Press it again to fully close. Handy if you make a mistake or just want to back up without starting over. Cancelling while connecting a chain of parts will not delete created joints, but if you do wish to fully restart, pressing undo for each Motor6D created will work just fine!
Pivot Mirroring for Symmetrical Rigs
With Pivot Mirroring turned on, RigLink will look for mirrored Motor6Ds in your rig and try to match the new joint with the existing one. It works while you’re placing joints manually, and also during automatic placement if there’s already a matching motor to copy from. You can rig one half of a model, then let RigLink help mirror the rest.
Unlocking Alignment for More Control
By default, RigLink locks the pivot to the overlap plane between two parts. If you want to move it freely, you can turn off Lock Alignment. This lets you slide the joint around to fine-tune it exactly how you want — useful if you’re working on something with more unusual pivot needs.
You Can Get RigLink on the Creator Store!
If RigLink sounds like something you’d use, it’s available now on the Creator Store.

I’d love to hear what you think — and if you run into anything or have feature ideas, I’m open to feedback. Thanks for reading, and I hope it helps speed up your workflow!
