Ro-Wizard V2.0.7 Changelog

RO-WIZARD V2.0.7 CHANGELOG

A small update. I’ve been away from development on the game for a while, but spent a few days finishing up this one which has been sitting around for a bit. Parts of it are incomplete, and it has not been through testing.

Previous Update: Ro-Wizard V2.0.6 Changelog

NEW

  • House Improvements

    Exclusive Questlines

    • Similar to Dark Wizards, houses will have their own exclusive quests that will be disabled/enabled depending on which house you are in.
    • 4 new introductory quests have been created for each house. These have been tailored to match each house’s theme. The second parts for some of these quests did not make it in.

    Homerooms

    • Each homeroom now has its own Prefect NPC which will give information about the house and give out quests.
    • The Lions, Ravens, and Badgers have had their homerooms remodeled.

    Other

    • You may now only change your house one time for free at the start of the game. After this, it will cost gems if you wish to change houses again. This is to discourage jumping around between houses too often, while still being able to after accumulating enough daily rewards.
    • Exclusive titles for each house have been added, which are unlocked after completing the first quest for the house.
  • Class Schedules

Class schedules from V1 of the game have been reintroduced. This feature was removed from V2 due to the addition of quests. Added back for the people who enjoyed the social element of meeting up with other students, and I’ve added some improvements as well.

    • A new starter quest has been added, which is where you can pick up your schedule book item and start attending classes.
    • You can hold the schedule book to see a breakdown of all schedule events separated by the day of the week. The schedule contains core classes and social events (breakfast, lunch, dinner, study hall, curfew). You can click on a schedule event to get detailed information about it.
    • A day system has been added to the game. The current time and date will show at the top of the screen. When a schedule event is active, this will also show here along with a teleport button to go to the event.
    • Each schedule event has a point and XP bonus for any players that show up. Additional points and XP (scaled by year) will be granted to players who stay within the defined region for the schedule event.
  • Kitchens & Cooking

Added as a little side activity to do around the castle just for fun.

    • The kitchens have been added directly below the grand hall. They can be accessed via a fairly obvious ‘secret’ entrance.
    • A new Chef NPC has been added. You can speak with him to start your training as a Chef. Has a personal store, and has written his own cookbook full of recipes.
    • The Chef comes with 2 repeatable quests which will guide players as chefs in training.
    • Several new ingredients related to cooking have been added: egg, tomato, carrot, onion, flour, milk, salt, raw steak, raw chicken, coffee beans, dough, etc.
    • New cooking stations have been added: Pot, Skillet, Oven, and a Mixing Barrel. These are stations you can interact with to cook a variety of different recipes.
    • Players may only claim one station of each type at a time. If you go out of range from your station for too long then it will be automatically reset.
    • 10+ recipes have been added to the game. These include main dishes, side dishes, and drinks.
    • Chefs may place 1 main dish, 1 side dish, and one drink at each meal area on the tables in the kitchen. Meals placed here will appear above, which other students can grab.
    • If a meal is taken during any mealtime on the schedule, the Chef who served it will receive some points. (however the main income of people doing Chef work comes from the repeatable quests).
    • A ‘Well Fed’ character condition has been added. If you’ve recently consumed a full meal (main dish, side dish, and a drink), then you will receive this buff which increases max hp, regen speed, and lowers the regen delay.
    • Drinking coffee will add an energized condition
  • Other

    • A new custom UI has been added for ProximityPrompts. This one matches the theme of the game better, adds a highlight to objects you’re interacting with for visual clarity, and has allowed me to easily add context-specific interactions, as well as displaying several prompt actions at once.
    • Your interaction hotkey can now be changed in settings
    • NPCs can be interacted with the same way as anything else, so you don’t only have to click the dialog bubble.
    • A new condition has been added called ‘safe’. Does the same thing as the old safe zone indicator, which has been removed to make screen space for the schedule UI.
