Roblox 1 Day Ban for an Image misinterpretation, moderation is not accepting the appeal

Hey,

I don’t really know where else to vent out my frustration, so I’ll just leave it here. I just got banned for 1 day because of a texture for a grocery product in my game.

I’m assuming it was because of the scan code on the product.

At first, I thought it was just the AI making a mistake, so I sent an appeal explaining that the scan code doesn’t work, doesn’t lead to any off-site link, and that I would happily remove it from the image if needed.

After waiting, I got this response:

We carefully reviewed your appeal for Directing Users Off-Platform and we still consider that your activity breaks the rules explained in our Community Standards.

And honestly, I don’t really understand how this is considered an off-platform link. The scan code is not real, it doesn’t send anyone anywhere nor does it even LOOK like an actual QR Code, and it was clearly not intended to break any rules.

What bothers me the most is that I was trying to focus on working on my game today, but the ban also takes away access to Studio, which makes it even more annoying.

Roblox moderation has honestly been getting EXTREMELY frustrating for me. I recently had a situation where my account was hacked and over 1,100,000 Robux worth of transactions were scammed and sent to different accounts. Roblox did not refund ANY of those transactions even though the account that was supposed to receive around 700,000 Robux was banned before it ever received the Robux. So it means Roblox just put $4,000 USD to their pockets.

After finally moving past that situation, getting banned over something like this is just really disappointing and unacceptable.

You don’t understand a bit. It’s not the barcode that’s to blame, but the whole texture. I was banned for the same thing for a sticker on a bottle that says water, although there was no barcode on it, Although the barcode makes the situation even worse. And the appeal is considered by the same AI that banned you, but it is more loyal. Try to appeal several times in a row. It worked for me a couple of times.

I was warned for the same exact reason, you cannot have barcodes in textures even if it’s fake. But sadly they wont accept your appeal because of that barcode, just simply remove it.

I have also been warned for 2 images of assets I uploaded for ‘off site links’ Both appeals were denied. I strongly suspect roblox is using AI and not even reviewing appeals with a human review.

sorry guys and OP but if there’s a bar code, you MUST delete it, doesn’t matter if it works or not, the AI will flag it out always

Yeah but its stupid, especially if its fake, I’d understand getting a warning, but a Ban? Thats an overkill

People got games deleted for this, so the person got off lightly. And at least he knows why, Roblox may not mention the reason for the ban. In general, Roblox does whatever he pleases. Apparently he fancies himself the king of game engines.
