Roblox Blackhole + 1000000mil stud rendering

Howdy Yall,

This is my first Dev Forum post because it felt like something actually worth sharing. I have had a weird obsession with making a black hole on Roblox for quite some time now, and I am happy to say I have finally made it work (with the help of Claude Code). And in doing so I managed to make it render the model at a scale of roughly 1 million studs all on your screen without fading out as well as having it render on screen from a distance of 1 million studs, though it may be able to do a little more but its under 1.5 million. Not sure if this was already easily possible but to my knowledge it was not.

The blackhole has what id say is semi-realistic gravitational lensing but I am not a physics major, I just like blackholes.

This is all done using EditableMeshes generated at run time on the client which allows the near infinite scaling and render distance! If you have any questions ill try to answer them, this is a work in progress the next step is making stuff happen when you fall into the event horizon and maybe tweaking the accretion disk a bit visually including fun colorings.

This is good and really big, and crash my game twice

Im tweaking it right now, I forgot to set some stuff up. But thank you!

It is really un-optimised, you should open player module and remove support for mobile then go to publish settings and unchecked the option named “mobile” in supported devices, No mobile is running this also when you remove the support or mobile using the player module it will make your game faster too.

Thanks for the tip, I thought I had maybe I forgot to save it, ill do that now!

really liked the project, it ran smoothly. I was wondering how you made the blackhole itself, and the spinning light around it
