Roblox Blocked From Frontier ISP

Roblox is inaccessible if you have the internet service provider Frontier. This issue has been occurring for the past 2 days starting on Saturday night (EST).

Step 1. Have Frontier Internet
Step 2. Make sure WiFi is on
Step 3. Try loading any Roblox website or app
Step 4. See it does not load
Step 5. Disconnect WiFi or enable VPN
Step 6. Observe Roblox functioning normally.

Expected behavior

I expect Roblox to function normally on any ISP within the US.

All other websites function normally

Hi @FamedChris! Thanks for submitting a bug report. We have worked with one of our ISPs to identify a networking issue and implemented a fix for it on Friday evening PDT. From our metrics, it appears that your access should be restored. Please reach out if you continue to see issues!

Hi,

Sorry for the deleted post. The connection is extremely unstable with Roblox. Shortly after I responded Roblox started working again, and then it stopped working. There are clearly still some issues.

A screenshot from downdetector below shows that the problem still seems to be very widespread.

Ignoring the spike from AWS earlier today, problems are still widespread and much higher than baseline.

As of 10/20/2025 12:08 PM EST the problem is still persisting

Update on this: A friend gave me some advice and he said to change the DNS. That worked. It appears that Frontier’s DNS seems to be blocking Roblox.

Thanks for the update. It definitely does seem like something is still up. We are actively investigating this and will provide an update when we have one.

AWS has been down all day, that’s the likely cause

The AWS issue is actually unrelated (though unfortunately timed)! We are tracking them as two separate incidents at our status page if you want to take a look:

The AWS issue is considered resolved at this point, but we are still actively working on fixing the ongoing networking/ISP issue.

Hi folks! Sorry for the late update here. We have resolved the issue with one of our ISPs and we expect all users should see connectivity restored. Please reach out if you are continuing to see issues.

Sorry this took so long to resolve! This flew under our radar for a while with all the other AWS stuff going on too. We will take a look at how to gain better visibility into these issues in the future to be able to resolve this more quickly in the future. Thanks again for your patience with us!
