Roblox stopped taking the FramerateCap field of the GlobalBasicSettings_13.xml configuration file into account when launching the game and the engine is locked to 240 fps despite the explicit modification of that setting.
This leads to framerate instability and a disadvantage in competetive environments where you want the client to be executing and processing logic as fast as possible.

I’m not quite understanding the issue. Is it not possible to change in the settings menu? We support 240 fps now in the settings and you can set it lower to like 60 in the same menu.
Seems like this is a feature request that duplicates this request FPS Setting Needs an Uncapped Option. We don’t support above 240fps officially.
sorry, my fps was capped in my graphics card settings, now modifying the .xml file lets me uncap fps.
