So, Im making my own client for my game, and that means custom everything, leaderboard, chat, etc. Is there any way to keep the normal roblox chat, but have a custom topbar button to open it?
I’m sure you could work it out by just forking the core chat scripts. I don’t know how good of an idea this is, but its definitely possible. In my opinion, it would be easier and more worth it to just make your own chat system at that point.
Yeah I know, but I was having lots of troubles with text sizing and positioning, so i’ve already attempted it.
Alright, I believe i just found out how to do this, since the chat ui is in PlayerGui, I could easily enabled/disable it!
