Whenever I launch a game using the Roblox website, the application crashes, sending a Windows notification.
Roblox has crashed. Try performing a Windows clean boot."
This same error occurs when I try to open the Roblox Player. It crashes almost immediately (the Player opens for a brief moment before crashing), even if I have not launched a game yet. The application crashes regardless of the game launched from the website too.
Here is a video showcasing this critical bug from the website:
Here is a list of things I have attempted to try and fix this bug. The final one was a successful workaround, but the rest were unsuccessful.
- Restarting my computer multiple times (unsuccessful)
- Reinstalling the Roblox Player (unsuccessful)
- Performing a Windows clean boot (unsuccessful)
- Installing the Roblox Player from the Microsoft Store (successful workaround)
System Information:
- Computer: ASUS Zenbook S14 UX5406SA
- Operating System: Windows 11
- CPU: Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 7 258V
- Memory: 32.0GB
- GPU: Intel(R) Arc™ 140V GPU (16GB)
Browser Information: (Included, although I doubt this is a website-only issue as it impacts the Roblox Player too)
- Firefox 138 on Windows 11
Expected behavior
If everything was working correctly, I should be able to launch the Roblox Player and play Roblox without the application crashing.
